Fantastic Performances

Shanti International would like to take the opportunity to celebrate the live acts, music and singing that was part of the fashion show.

First up was street dance group ‘a:m’ who performed after Yidia’s collection. This event was the first time that Amir Khan & Maariya Arshad had performed together in front of a live audience so they were a bit nervous back stage. Although this didn’t show as they were fantastic performing seamlessly together and performing sexy solos as well. They incorporated various styles of popping, locking, tutting and waving to create an awesome performance. The audience loved it!

Next up was upcoming pop artist Sertari who got people dancing with her funky set and was a great feature to the night. Her talent was sublime and I have no doubt that she will make it big, especially working with the likes of Kanye West!

Lastly was Salsa diva Zaneta who performed a soul full masterpiece and if she doesn’t make you run straight to a salsa club then I don’t know what will! She had the audience enthralled and we love her passion for dancing.

Throughout the night we had DJ Yann Solo, who worked the decks downstairs in the backstage area and played top tunes all night. One of the attendees Paul said that Yann produced ‘the best soundtrack to an event that he had ever heard’. Yann was a fantastic asset to the fashion show and he provided great music and I look forward to his next set.

About Shanti-International-Charity

Shanti International is an international charity dedicated to empowering under-privileged people and improving their economic and social well-being. A simple ethos of giving others what we take for given underpins all our projects whether we are providing education, support or medication for preventable diseases. In a fair society, everyone should be able to live a life where opportunities are available for them to improve their situation. Shanti International envisions a world where each individual has basic human rights, the freedom, confidence and community support to address any social problems and bring about change. At the heart of any help we provide for the vulnerable, is the aim of helping individuals take advantage of all the possible opportunities that exist for them, so that the most disadvantaged people can live an independent life. We are not limited by causes and strive to be wherever a helping hand is needed. From addressing the legitimate concerns of people and families living with HIV/AIDS and providing care and support services; to protecting young girls and women from crimes like domestic violence, trafficking for flesh trade, child prostitution, child labour and other forms of exploitation, Shanti International is there to take a stand.
